The Orphans is a Sci-Fi Audio Drama series focussing on the survivors of a crashed space ship. They have no memory, and no way out.  As the group is slowly being hunted, they must  work to understand their mysterious arrival on this planet.

The Crew

        Writer and Director of The Orphans Zachary Fortais-Gomm has been working as a filmmaker for some time, producing and editing many short films. Graduate of the Bournemouth Film School, Zachary is making his first foray into the audio drama realm.

        Zachary has been heavily involved in the sound of The Orphans, creating and sourcing sound effects tailored to the show. Zachary believes that sound plays as much a role in the character of the show as the acting. That is why the sound design of the show has been so meticulously fine tuned and revised to ensure that it represents the absolute best that the show can be.

        All seven episode of The Orphans were written and directed by Zachary Fortais-Gomm. The writing process for the seven episodes took five months between November 2015 and March 2016.

        Jodie Stedman has been a massive friend of the show, providing a litany of roles. She has been Sound Recordist, Additional Voices, Foley Artist and has recently stepped up to editor of Episode IV:  Fallen.

        Jodie is a second year film student at the Bournemouth Film School specialising in sound and picture editing. She has provided key aide to the production of The Orphans.

       Esmé Hill is the editor of the penultimate episode of The Orphans, Episode VI: Hostile Takeover. Normally a film editor Esmé is making her first foray into the world of sound exclusive work. She is so incredibly excited to be a part of the team.

       Esmé is currently a second year student studying at the Bournemouth Film School with a specialism in picture editing. Her assistance to the production has been absolutely key.
